Breakaway (Missions) {0}
This past Wednesday we were blessed to have Coby McGinty come share how Christ brought him from a life devoted to making money to one devoted to bringing the Gospel to students in Cape Town, South Africa.
Every year they do a campus project to engaged students on campus. Here are a few of the questions they have asked to spark conversation and thought.
The first one asked, “When is the fish free?” answers were written on this display.

The second one asked, “What are you worth?” Answered for this were written on an old car in permanent marker.

The third one he showed us was a giant elephant asking people to explain why we exist, what are purpose is.
We were blessed to have Coby share with us this week what God is doing in South Africa.
Come here from Coby and other missionaries Saturday Night at 5:30 or during the Sunday School hour this Sunday.

Coach Chris {0}
Chris & Mrs Schutte lead the HCA Girl’s Soccer practice this past Tuesday. When I walked out of my office and saw this it just seemed like something that should be documented on video. So, here it is.

Found This Today {0}

I went to a class this morning to learn to seal my driveway (has little rock decorations) Before I went in Nathan Bailey comes running out of some random warehouse asking me what I am doing here. I asked him the same question.
Turns out Rudy, Sam, Hat and Nathan were working, sorting makeup.
Anyway, there is a picture proving these four know how to work.

He is Risen! Yard Crosses {2}

When Laura and I lived in Dallas we noticed houses all around us began placing white crosses in their frontyards on Palm Sunday (one week before Easter/Resurrection Sunday). Seemed odd to us at first, but then on Easter Sunday while we drove to church we noticed all these crosses had been turned around to reveal the words, “He Is Risen!” on the other side. The crosses remained for a week after Easter and then people pulled them up and put them into storage.
This subtle statement helped us to dwell on the resurrection of Christ and what it means for all whose faith is in Christ (1 Corinthians 15). It also identified houses with their faith in Christ, showing a wider sense of Christ’s Church.
We were thinking of ways to celebrate Easter with a focus on the resurrection of Christ and this was one small way that we though would help in teaching our kids as well.
We ordered 25 of these crosses today thinking we’d cover the cost of shipping so that the first of y’all who are interested could get them from us for just $5. Email or call us and we’ll get you one too! Probably worth stating we will make no profit and have nothing to gain from this. Simply wish to see this message of the resurrection take hold here in Kansas.
The crosses will be here Monday or Tuesday next week. We’ll put one or two out and then on Easter morning Becks and Sadie Piper will go turn the cross around. The whole process should give us opportunity to talk about the resurrection with them. I’ve love to see all of Redeemer and HCA (and the rest of the Christian community) take part in this as a way to remind people of what we celebrate at Easter, the resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Breakaway Pictures {0}
Just a few from tonight. We had a baby food eating contest to start the night. Mich went and got a trash can since he was worried it wouldn’t stay down. In his words, “I haven’t had this in a really long time!” Which I guess is good since as I said, it was baby food. In the end Courtney won herself a Breakaway T-shirt and Mich did make use of that trash can. Anyway fun night studying the Salt & Light text of Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:13-16), singing songs and playing soccer in beautiful weather.
More pictures after the link.
