I teach the Doctrine II class to Juniors at HCA. We meet in Dr. Carver’s classroom which is full of things that don’t belong to me. While students were writing one day I decided to record his magnet hovering globe thing to show my children. There was a half full cup off coffee Dr. Carver left on his desk when I began recording….

This is Connor’s breakfast which Annie Prins brought a few weeks ago. It was such a huge bowl I had to take a photo of it. Connor fractured his hand last week playing American Football, please pray for a speedy recovery so he can play that silly game before the season is over.

Jon Dunning showed me this video which is a spoof on the problems we face in the 1st World. It’s funny cause it’s true. 
Here are a few definitions to help this make sense.
3rd World Nations: The underdeveloped nations of the world, especially those with widespread poverty.
1st World Nations: the major industrialized non-Communist nations, including those inWestern europe, the United States, canada, and japan.

While on the Katy Trail with Tony a few weeks back I learned something that has forever changed my view of Tony. I’ve knew he was not a fan of dogs. On numerous occasions he has listed the reasons no human being should have a dog living in their house. There are numerous other thing he list explaining why he doesn’t like Man’s Best Friend.
What I didn’t know was that Pastor Tony does like cats, he thinks they are better than dogs and can actually give an explanation of why cats are better than dogs (all nonsense). Anyway while I was unable to find a photo of Tony with a cat I did find this which gives us some idea what Tony and his cat might look like together in the future.

One major difference between adults and youth is how they react to having a camera pointed at them.
Adults shy away from it, want to know what you are doing and begin a series of self deprecating comments about themselves.
Youth simply pose. They may grab other people to be in the photo or go it alone, but they almost always pose.
Over the years one pose we have done is what has come to be known as “Sophie Face.” The myth of this is that Sophie always poses with sideways mouth and a peace sign. Just about everyplace we go people learn to pose “Sophie Face.” Below are a few photos of this pose.
All this time Sophie herself has claimed to very very rarely ever making that face. Laura went through all our photos recently looking for that pose and found that Sophie was right. We only have two photos where it is Sophie making “Sophie Face.” Those are below.
Hat also has a few poses she does about 90% of the time a camera is pointed at here. See below.
Then there is what we call Blanco pose, see below. Blanco is a Mexican Soccer player who is way too old to be still playing (Tony’s Age).
Perhaps sometime I’ll find a few other popular poses to share with you. Mich does a great crazy man pose and hat has an alternate version of one. Lenin G. puts his face in his food. Roxie opens her mouth in a huge smile
