I know some people have finals tomorrow, but the way things fell this year we wouldn’t be able to have this party until very close to Christmas if we didn’t do it now. Hope you’ll be able to make it out as we play games, talk, share, eat and just fellowship together. Our unity is because of the coming of Christ and we’ll be rejoicing in that this Wednesday.
So come out from 6:30 to 8:00 to the Youth Room on Wednesday night. Bring a snack to share if you can, but come even if you don’t have something.
It’s Christmas time again which means we get to listen to music that proclaims the coming of our savior Jesus Christ. If you are looking for some good music that you might not have heard here are a few great options. The link will take you to pages where you can sample or purchase the album. If you have a favorite album that is not one of these four, please tell us as I am always looking for more great Christmas music.

1. Andrew Peterson: Behold the Lamb of God. This is my all time favorite because they are not traditional songs we’ve always known, but they are fantastic. Even better the songs collectively tell the Historical Redemptive story of Christ coming using Old Testament foreshadowing. Great album.

2. Bebo Norman: Christmas from the Realms of Glory. Bebo has a mix of traditional songs and new, but their is something beautiful about the way it is all put together. Bebo’s rendition of Joy to the World really captures the expression of Joy at the coming of Christ. One of my favorite songs that leads me to consider how we celebrate Christmas is The Rebel Jesus. It was originally written by Jackson Browne who as far as I have been able to find is not a Christian (he refers to himself as a pagan in the song).

3. Third Day: Christmas Offerings. Their album is mostly a solid collection of songs you’ve sung your whole life with a distinctly Third Day sound.

4. Ross King: The Christmas Stories. Ross King lives in College Station. Home of the Fightin’ Texas Aggies. His song writing is amazing. My favorite songs on here are Macy’s Parade. and Rise Up. Highly recommend everything by Ross.

Everyone who came today did a fantastic job celebrating the birth of Christ with the residents of the Good Samaritan Center this morning. It was a great time. Unfortunately I didn’t take many photos this year since I couldn’t get a good angle on the piano, but I’ll post a few to remember this great event. Also a couple of videos as well. Thank to everyone who came out today. The videos look much better if you switch the quality on them to HD found at bottom of the video.
Brookie made a good friendship with Elee. He told us a story about a cat that brought a snake into the GSC and sat on the couch while it ate it. He also gave Beckham a stuffed dinosaur.
Above and below we are caroling around the place led by Shari and Willow.
In this video Teresa & Andria play and sing.
Here we sang carols as a group to end our time.
