Tonight we played Texas Soccer. Basically Soccer with a Texas sized ball. Final Score was 4 to 4, here is a little video of it.

Each week we continue to begin with some sort of Improv game lead by Rachel. This week the challenge was for a team to come up with a movie scene. Then we gave them four movie genres they had to apply to the same scene. It’s hard to follow with the poor video quality, but had some very funny moments. My favorite is Nathan Bailey singing as he drives a car while acting out the genre of Disney Princesses. Other Genres are Chick Flick, Horror Film and Sci Fi.
Here’s a shot of the girls making music tonight

Thank you Emily Vesper for providing tasty snacks for Breakaway tonight. It was an enjoyable night of fellowship.
I’m not exactly a talented wood worker, but I did see a picture of a Texas sized Jenga set and knew we had to at least attempt to make one. So Beckham and I went to Home Depot to get some wood.
We bought 8 2×4 boards. Cost for wood $18.36. We also learned the 2×4 pieces of wood are actually 3 3/8 and not 4 inches wide. Who knew? After loading our swagger wagon with wood we brought it home.
I have learned over our 5+ years here that the best way to get things made out of wood is to ask the great family across the street how to make boards turn into really cool things. Ron always knows what to do.
Laura helped by testing the tensile strength of the wood.
