Every once in awhile Ubuntu and I try to see if we could beat the youth in games if we tried our hardest. Increasingly the answer is no, but we did find the game of Trash Can is still a place of adult dominance. This video shows a little of that, but is really worth of a blog post due to an escape I couldn’t be prouder of. I know, it’s sad, but check it out.

Muck Fest 2010 Photos
07.25
The rain came and brought along thunder and lightning for awhile. But praise God it cleared up enough for us to throw Mayo, Syrup and tons of mud at each other while slip and sliding down the hill into the pond. The Slip & Slide turned out to be even more fun than I had imagined. Thank you Momo for bringing dessert and Chris for helping dig the mud pit. Check out photos below.
Below is digging the Mud pit earlier in day.

Muckfest today from 5 to 7:30
07.24
We’ve change from Pizza to Nachos afterwards. We’ll play games with mayo, greased up watermelon, a great mud pit for Liberate the Bacon (Steel the bacon) and then finish it off with what looks to be the greatest Slip And Slide ever. Beckham helped me prep the location above early this morning. 7th grade to college are invited.
New Youth Room Painted
07.23
We inherited the basement (sure feels good to say that word again) of the south building for youth use this past May. I believe it will be a great place for the youth. However, their was much work to be done. The carpet was very gross, the walls needed painting and everything needed to be cleaned badly. This past Monday we invited anyone who wished to serve to come help clean and paint. Sam B., Roxie and Renae Vos all came out to help with this work and the results are great.
On Wednesday morning I came in to find things looked better than when I had left on Tuesday, even the supplies were organized. Turns out the whole Vos family came up during the night and worked on the place.
So anyway, check out our new digs.

Here is the main room after the carpet has been removed, the floors have been painted, but before the walls are painted.
That is painted on screen. Works pretty good.
Above is blue room, no, before picture unfortunately.
Above is the before picture of the Red Room.
W even painted this dirty piece of furniture to be nice and blue. Thank you Sam, Renae, Roxie and all the Vos’ for serving the Church in this capacity.
