In Town Retreat 2010 {0}

We are hoping to do an In Town Retreat Friday January 15th and Saturday January 16th 2010. Cost is $5 per student and last from Friday evening until Saturday evening.
In Town Retreat is about a 24 hour period for Redeemer Students (along with New Hope PCA, Oak Hills PCA and Woodland Ridge PCA) to spend time with each other for fellowship and time in God’s Word.
Our Theme is Romans 12:1-2, ““I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Friday night we’ll meet at New Hope PCA for a time of worship, teaching and a few fellowship games. Afterwards students will stay in homes according to age and gender with host families. We’ll give each family some discussion questions to go over with the youth. They’ll sleep there and then return to church in the morning for pancakes. We’ll have another time of teaching and that afternoon we’ll have a Video Scavenger Hunt. After the Scavenger Hunt students will return to church for time of prayer and later eat pizza while watching their videos. Students are welcome to participate even if they must leave for Basketball or other activities at some point.
How Can You Help?
1. Pray for students, pray for teaching, pray for host families, pray for drivers, pray for God to be at work in our covenant children as they grow to love Him more than anything else.
2. Open your home and host a group of students. No more than 5 at any house is our hope.
3. Offer to drive to a host house on Friday night and back to church on Saturday Morning.
4. Be a driver on Saturday from about noon to 3 p.m. for the video scavenger hunt, we’ll buy you lunch.
Please let me know ASAP if you can help out with this event or if you wish to sign your child up.
