Day two we awoke in McKinney which is just north of Dallas. Rick and I were invited to go up in Zach and Connor’s uncle’s two passenger plane. It was an amazing experience, especially for me as I hate planes. By 7 a.m. we were on the road heading to Galveston where Zach and Connor would see the ocean for the first time in their life. Along the way we stopped at Wings N More, the best chicken fingers on the planet and then ran by Minute Maid Park (home of the Astros, who were playing our Royals at that moment) After Galveston, we returned to my parents house in Spring (North of Houston) where Rick cooked up the fresh shrimp we bought in Galveston. We listened to Doing Missions When Dying is Gain by Piper on our way to Galveston, it is hard not to get excited for missions after listening to that. If your children sell themselves into slavery to go preach the gospel in a muslim land, blame Piper. For pictures and more info on this day follow the link below.
This is a photo I took from the plane out the window.

This is the “Hat” pose, you’ll see it alot on this trip.

No idea where this guy was going with a giant panda, but when we tried to take a photo from the side of the car, he slammed on his breaks.
This is Buc-ee’s a giant gas station, huge because it is in Texas.
Most people bought giant mugs, we stopped to use the bathroom shortly after.
Moments after Zach and Connor first saw the ocean. They loved it, can’t wait until they see a beach with white sand and blue water someday.
Connor buried in the sand.
I’m not sure what was the stranger site, someone wearing a bathing suit in this shopping center (think The Legends or Zona Rosa) or a police officer on a horse in Houston

Without an iPhone Hat became obsessed with this Rubik’s Cube, she figured out how to solve it, then she figured out how to solve it faster. Now she can solve it in less than 4 minutes.
Hat and Joey hanging with my dad’s stuffed Bobcat.
My parents were in Florida when we were there so we did not get to see them, but beds and hot showers were great after a day at the beach.
