We had a great turn out the first week for our study on Don’t Waste Your Life. Hearing everyone’s initial thoughts on dating/relationships was quite interesting. I certainly look forward to each week as we consider further how pursue God in this aspect of our lives. Everyone coming this week needs to have read chapters 1 and 2 and be ready to discuss on Wednesday 7:00 – 9:00.

This Saturday Night June 6th is the Border Mission Team’s final fundraiser event of the year. This year the team will be serving you at a Mystery Dinner here in the commons. This is a unique sit down dining experience where your decisions will affect how the meal goes. Bring your whole family for this night of food and fellowship in support of the mission team. Free to attend, donations accepted. Starts at 5:45 and will be over by 7:15. Children are welcome to attend. Please call the church office this week if you plan to attend so we can properly prepare for the evening, (913) 685-2322.

Not Sure What a Mystery Dinner Is? You’ll be given a menu to fill out based on a sort of riddle. How you do with the riddle will result in how the meal goes. I don’t want to tell you more that. This is not a Murder Mystery Dinner though, you will not be asked to act or leave your table at any point. Each table will work together playing a trivia game as well that will result in those at one table winning a prize. This truly is one of those events that gives you opportunity to get to know your fellow covenant community members. I hope we’ll see you there in support of the work God is doing on the US/Mexico Border and Redeemer’s Team.

Summer Gathering starts this Wednesday May 27th at 7:00 p.m, night ends at 9:00 p.m. We’ll meet in the youth room for dessert before breaking into small groups for the study. Groups are divided as follows, High School Boys, High School Girls, Junior High Boys, Junior High Girls. Books are $10 and nothing needs to be read by this Wednesday, just show up. See Wednesday Night!

Friday May 22nd from 6:00 to 9:00 is game night at the Ardiles. This will be our last one as the Ardiles are moving to Phoenix, Arizona in June. Students who will be in High School next year (completing 8th grade right now) and older are invited to this time of fellowship and Peruvian food. Hope to see you all there!
