Breakaway February 18th 2009{0}
Tonight was a blast. Shaving Cream hair styling, slaughter ball and scatter ball. Junior High and High School spend some time on what it means to be fulfilled in Christ as opposed to attempting to be fulfilled in new gadgets, fashion, boyfriend/girlfriend, popularity, talents in music, sports or academics and various other things. We looked at Jeremiah 2:13, “For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.” We compared a fountain of living water to a broken cistern to better understand the great evil the people of God committed in Jeremiah’s time and the temptation today to do the very same thing. There were many great photos tonight so follow the link to see them.
Here are all the contestants, we had an applause meter to determine victory, but I think it was set up. Philip had a sweet mohawk made by Charlie and should have won. Next time impartial judges.
