I’ve suggested reading the text of the Sermon before coming to church to many of you, here it is. Read. Think about it. Pray for understanding. Pray for Pastor Tony who will preach it. Then get some rest and come ready to Worship the Living God.

John 17:6-12

6 “I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. 7 Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you. 8 For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me. 9 I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. 10 All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. 12 While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

This Saturday we are joining up with area PCA churches for a youth square dance. We’ll be meeting at New Hope PCA (directions) from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for a great time of fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ. 6th grade through high school are invited to wear costumes, western wear or just come dressed “normal.” No need to know how to dance or square dance, we’ll teach you. Last minute sledding trip this morning (sorry if you missed it, hard to get news out other than the graze at such a short notice, check graze on days it snows if you wish to come next time) ended up being Beckham, Momo and Zach. Late Sophie, Abbie, Chris, Cam and Sam Preston showed up for some sledding and later Starbucks. Pics after the link. Sledding at 10:30 today left of the Lowe’s at 135th and Blackbob. Mount Lowes.

Connor Lutz and the Spring Hill Broncos beat the Eudora Friday night in a last minute decision. Really exciting game and Connor did great. On a side note, Laura and I counted 12 or 13 redheaded people while there. We have become convinced that 1 in 7 people in Spring Hill has red hair.
