In Town Retreat: Pictures {0}

This past weekend was the In Town Retreat. The weekend consisted of 30 of our junior and senior high students coming together Friday night and Saturday morning for a time of worship and teaching on our position as Douloi/Slaves of Christ who is our Kurios/Master. We spent some time looking at the difference between being a servant and being a slave as laid out particularily in the New Testament. Friday night students stayed in the homes of different Redemer families.
Thank you to all who hosted students, Ardiles, Bashams, Shanahan (who had 11 junior high girls with Emily Vesper’s help) and Raymonds. We could not have done this without your selflessly opening up your homes. On Saturday from 10:30 to 2:30 we drove around town competing in a Video Scavenger Hunt. Thank you drivers who gave up most of your Saturday to drive students around getting out of your comfort zone doing one crazy thing after another. Norma Morse, Gina Ochs, Travis Shanahan and Darryl Basham. Finally thank you Scott and Carmen Creecy for watching Beckham and Sadie Piper so Laura and I could spend undivided time with the students of Redeemer.
Here are some pictures from game time Friday night, I hope to post video later this week, that is after I edit out everything new Elder Travis Shanahan’s lawyer has suggested be removed from his video
That is to say we had our first youth group injury when Sam Preston busted his chin pretending to play tennis in a Walmart. Most impressive was that he left with parents to get 7 stiches and then caught back up with his team to finish the competition. Follow link for more photos. Click here to read the rest of this post.

Awhile back we took some fun photos at the end of Breakaway, follow the link to see more of these photos.
