I am in St Louis with Nathan and for some reason it reminds me of our trip to El Paso. Oh yeah…it is because Nathan is on his phone all the time.

I have to share this cause it makes me laugh. Beckham is trying to sing the theme song to the old Batman TV show.

Joy had her senior pictures taken last week with Karyn Kayle Photography. Karyn is a friend of Laura’s from Texas A&M who has recently moved to Overland Park from Washington D.C.  Last summer she took some photos of Beckham and Sadie you can check out here. Joy said she had a great time and that Karyn made all the poses feel very normal. You can check out the rest of Joy’s photos on Karyn Kayle’s blog and if you are looking to have family pictures, senior pictures or anything else we highly recommend this sister in Christ.

Yesterday marked two years that Laura and I have been at Redeemer. We loved coming here then and can honestly say it has turned out to be just as great as we hoped it would be. God really has blessed us with an amazing covenant community to serve and grow in. The picture above was taken Monday morning August 28th, 2006 just after Tony dropped us off at the Airport to fly back to Houston. We were hopeful that God would bring us to Redeemer as we said goodbye and as we walked in the airport standing before us was my favorite sports team  on the planet, FC Dallas. They had played the Wizards the day before and were on their way back to Dallas.

Almost two years ago we ventured out on a video scavenger hunt. Looking back at this video I’m shocked to see how much all of you have grown . Part of the In Town Retreat coming up on November 14-15 this fall will be a bigger version of the video scavenger hunt. Please plan to be a part of that weekend.

April Marie Cervinka began her freshman year this fall at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. Chicago is great for two reasons, Deep Dish Pizza and Blanco (soccer player), neither of which April listed. April is majoring in Music with a violin emphasis. She really enjoys the seminary level Bible classes she is able to take as well. With this major April hopes to “reach the world with the gospel using a universal language (music) as my portal inside closed countries.”  Follow link to continue reading.
