El Paso Mission Pictures Are Here{1}

It is Monday and I imagine I won’t be recovered until at least next Monday from the week in El Paso. It turned out to be very different from past trips to Juarez, but it was still a wonderful time. I hope to post pictures of the Pena home when it fully completed. Here though are the nearly 500 photos that we have from the week. I’ve selected a few for those who don’t want to look through them all, but I would encourage you to at least fly through the whole for a better understanding of the week and to see the 20 some odd photos of me pretending to do jobs I never touched. Enjoy these photos and come out on Sunday evening August 17th to hear from the team about what we did and what is going on with the BEAMM ministry. Follow link to see more photos.

Joy sledding down the sand dunes at White Sands New Mexico

Taking a break while Gary gets on to someone else. We learned to find whatever shade could be found. If you look close you will see Cameron resting Bulgarian style.

Connor, Hope and Margarita working on grout.

Part of team at end of the day. Donde es stoy?

Harriet enjoys fashion and painting, here she has combined both of those interest.

Tip 237: Sleep when and wherever you can.

Tate, who earned that name by eating mashed potatoes at 6 weeks of age poses with an employee in the grocery store. We looked like tourist with our cameras out.

This is outside the school that the church plant meets in. The night before we played a giant game of signs which requires everyone to have a unique sign, everyone is here showing what there sigh is. Nathan looks like one of the three stooges.

Nathan and Emily traveled off in the distance to make the crosses in the sand, we caught this picture as they traveled back.

This may be my favorite picture from the trip. While most of us struggled to get up the first sand dune Jacob ran up one and down another for some time without stopping. Finally he reached this dune about a half a mile from camp and he sat down while the sun set on God’s beautiful creation.
