This past week the WCA Junior high put on their second annual Talent Show. There were seven acts all of which I was able to capture on video. I’ll them up over the course of the next week. Enjoy.

Juarez Taco Dinner Recap/Pictures {0}
Huge thank you to all the covenant community who donated and bid on items at this years Juarez Taco Dinner. Big thanks to Marlies Lamer and Carmen Creecy for going to get the ingredients. Huge thanks to Norma Morse who cooked the meat, made the tea, worked the evening and was a wealth of information all night.
Over 160 people attended and we were able to raise over 4 thousand dollars toward the trip pushing us ever closer to the total amount needed. This year we added a Pinata bashing portion to the evening that turned out to be a great deal of fun. While every child (and Joey) rushed to gather up all the candy leaving some children without any it was refreshing to see the older kids willingly share their candy with those who didn’t get any. Juarez Silent Auction & Taco Dinner {0}
Tonight (May 2nd) is the night of the Silent Auction and Taco DInner from 6-9 p.m. It is free to come and eat so gather your friends and come out for the celebration. Joey has agreed to do a Mexican Hat dance every 30 minutes. We have a donkey pinata filled with candy waiting to get bashed in. We have fresh green and red salsa, cheese dips, desserts, beans, music, etc. The two guys above will be outbidding each other for the Freddy T’s t-shirts and gift certificate.
