Huge thank you to all the covenant community who donated and bid on items at this years Juarez Taco Dinner. Big thanks to Marlies Lamer and Carmen Creecy for going to get the ingredients. Huge thanks to Norma Morse who cooked the meat, made the tea, worked the evening and was a wealth of information all night.
Over 160 people attended and we were able to raise over 4 thousand dollars toward the trip pushing us ever closer to the total amount needed. This year we added a Pinata bashing portion to the evening that turned out to be a great deal of fun. While every child (and Joey) rushed to gather up all the candy leaving some children without any it was refreshing to see the older kids willingly share their candy with those who didn’t get any.
